What is holding the old moonroof in place an how do i get to it? do i just need to raise it up an will there be screws or what on the bottom? or is it just clips an how do i remove it without messing up the tracks?

try going to a junk yard your motor was fine but your controls are not buy the controls and change them hondas do this when the resistance is burned out Junk Yard is the best place to find something simple as this 2 screws 3 plugs basic plug in play deal
If you will look in the trunk under that light you will see 2 holes on each side of the light. Inside those holes are the screws holding the light in place. Remove those screws and the light can then be taken out and the bulb replaced.
there are 2 screws on the top of the trim right behind the steering wheel. Undo those and hold on tight to the trim and pull outward. There are 2 tension brackets that are still holding it in place. it will come out with out using any tools. you will then see the other screws you need to pull it out. Hope this helps
I took mine in expecting to have it repaired and it turns out that it was just the screws along the left and right-hand side of the panel. They were loose. The guy told me that "it eventually happens" and that "it's only a matter of time". He went on to say that "it shouldn't happen again". So, check the screws on either side of the panel right where it's stopping. I suspect that this is prohibiting yours from closing as well.
you will need to remove the 2 front signal lights by loosening the single captive screw on each of them. under the signal lights , you will see 2 14" bolts holding each side of the bumper. make sure you loosen the screws that hold the bumber to the fenders.
