Question about 1992 Honda Accord
So here is my headache. One day I stupidly decided to spray my engine with engine cleaner and I think that this might have caused a short circuit or something. I'm not sure if this might have caused my problem as it happened 1 day after cleaning my engine. The Gauge in my car would shoot straight up to the "H" indicating my engine is overheating, this would happen even when I turn the key to just the "On" position. I'll test it in the morning when it's cold, same thing. The engine is cool to the touch even after letting the car idle for several minutes. I have replaced the thermostat and the temperature coolant plug thing that is connected to a green connector. I have flushed the coolant. But my gauge still shoots straight up to the "H". A co-worker of mine said I might need a new switch? I'm not sure. Today, the gauge meter rose to about 75% of the way to "H" and then later 25% and then again right back to "H". Please someone help me.
