My 1988 mx6 mazda car starting dying out plus battery light was on...I got a new battery. It ran tor two days, than it died out on me AGAIN! NOW it won't start.unless I get a jump, it runs for maybe 20...

If you have a new battery and it dies it means that the alternator is bad. The alternator is what replentishes the battery and run the car while you drive it. A simple test is as follows start the car, while the motor is running discinnect the (red) positive cable from the battery. The motor should continue to run....If it shuts off it means that the alternator is bad. The battery is only used to start the car! After its started it runs off of the alternator which also constantaly recharges your battery. Have any questions email me at
