I have a 2006 chevrolet silverado 2500HD diesel, last time I drove it was two days ago, this morning when I was going to go out I took my keys and try to unlock it with the keyless remote and nothing happened, I open the truck with the key, try to turn it on and nothing turns on, I went back to the house and got my spare keys, try to unlock it whit the spare keyless and it didnt work either. Please help me, I want to know what's wrong.
Possible weak battery has got the security system where it want respond or in some models want let the vehicle start until a new battery is installed and you use the keyless remote to active the securtiy mode a time or two possilbe then the vehicle will operate properly ..no question it is something electronic and this might be a possilbe solution check the battery to see if is still good,

It would be nice if you were to mention WHICH ENGINE your Silverado is equipped with...Knowing WHICH Silverado MODEL you have would also be nice...1500, 2500, 2500HD, 3500. etc.
If it is a gas engine, all you should have to do is to cycle the ignition key ON for about 5 seconds, then turn the ignition switch OFF and wait about 30 seconds, then repeat this about 3 times. This will allow the fuel pump prime to get the air out of the fuel lines. It should start after this is done.
If your truck is equipped with a diesel engine, the process is much different, let me know if this is the case, and I will post the fuel filter replacement instructions for the diesel.
