Question about 2000 Ford Windstar
Engine starts normal but dies out. The way to keep it going is to keep my foot on the acellerator and evintually it will stay runnig. after about 5 minutes the engine will die as if out of gas,but will start easily again.
I get 2 codes,p1132, and p1152 described as ( manufacturer control, air fuel metering) my service manual does not show these codes.I don't know what to look for.Can anybody help?
Try looking at the idle/air control valve - Look around where the gas cables attach to the engine. remove the wires and then unbolt the unit from the engine. The control valve has a spring valve that you can clean with intake cleaner. re-install the valve and drive to warm up the vehicle. After 20 minutes the vehicle should Idle. If not clear all codes and relist them here - hope tthis helps
