2004 A8-L passenger side faux burlwood dash plate replacement

A crack has now lengthened from the Quattro symbol upward toward the top center and a section has lifted and sort-of curled up from the surface. I'm afraid I need to replace the entire piece for this to look like anything and am looking for a source for that replacement.

SOURCE: 2004 Audi A4 headlight replacement

you have to loosen the whole headlight assembly to open the covers behind the lights to actually get to the bulbs. 4 screws, 2 are on the top of the assembly(phillips screws) the other two are hex and attach the bottom of the assembly to the car. somewhat difficult to see but look behind the assembly and down into the compartment and loosen the screws(they don't fully come out) just enough to pull the assembly out. open the black cover behind he low bean and there is the bulb

SOURCE: need to know how to

Well Mich, first you need to elevate the car to get to the starter; remove the undercover to expose the motor. Then you need to remove some parts to get to the starter. After that, it's pretty straight forward. Good luck.

How to change the passenger side air vent, is it necessary to remove entire dash?

The upper vent for the passengers side, using a very thin bladed screwdriver or long pick,at each side you insert this in the center area of the vent, then pushing the plastic retaining latches away from the vent, slightly pulling outwards on each side until the vent pops out,Then just insert the new vent untill you hear both sides click into place. As far as the center vents(this is what Im assuming you also whant to replace,You will have to remove the center bezel plate,Remove ash tray, and screws retaining the tray plate.then remove center shifter upper plate poping it up-wards(if yours has a floor shifter) If not then make sure the upper screws are removed (top of center bezel) then using a plastic type flat blade pop the bezel out wards this will give you the needed access to the center vents. Thanks

How to change passenger compartment air filter

Open the hood, Locate the plastic panel at the base of the windscreen on the passenger side near the wiper arm. The panel is held in place with plastic tabs. Pull the center stems of the tabs upwards. You may need to use a needle nose pliers to GENTLY pull stem upwards( about 1/4"). Remove tabs. Remove panel. Once panel is removed the filter is visible and can be easily removed and new one installed. Reinstall panel ,reinstall tabs. push center stems towards panel to secure tabs.

How do I remove the fan switch to replace it on the dash under the radio?

Have your radio code before you pull it out with the right radio tool. This pull would involve removing this parts.
  1. Glove compartment
  2. Driver side panel
  3. Center top dash board
  4. Defrost switch carrier
  5. Radio unit
  6. Center lower half of dash
So I'd suggest go to your local public library and look for your car manual. It would be either Chiltons or Clymers manual, it's not as precise a Bentley VW Official factory repair manual. Yes it really involves taking all those parts out just to get to the rotary switch.
