Are you sure you have a carburetor? I believe your car should be fuel injected.

It is the blade in the top of the carb, looks kinda like a flapper door.

Carburator choke wont set on 1984 honda hatchback when pumping the gas pedal. car wont stay running

Most carburated engines you don't pump the gas pedal, you slowly press it all the way to the floor one time and release it, then you attempt to start it. The problem that you are describing is an indication that the carburetor needs to be rebuilt. The choke plate has a latching mechanism that is connected to a heater coil, if there is excess wear on the parts or the heater is bad, it has to be replaced

1992 Honda Accord will start and idle, but dies on acceleration and when put in gear. Cat is not plugged. New fuel filter installed. Please advise.

Sounds like the fuel pump. Have the fuel pressure checked with a Pressure Test Guage. Different cars have different fuel pressure requirements, but for a fuel injected vehicle should be somewhere in the area of 40-60 psi. Also check that fuel filter was not installed backwards, on some vehicles this can restrict fuel flow,

It sounds very much like the Engine Management Temp Sensor is dormant.

The EMTS acts as the choke and aids starting, they are quite cheap and easy to replace.

The item is located in the thermostat housing.

I need the code for my 1998 honda accord ex 4door sedan vtech i changed my battery nd now its asking for the code

Check for a sticker with the radio code inside the glove box. Some dealers fixed a second sticker in the owners manual. If not available, get the code from a Honda dealer, and be prepared to show VIN number, and proof of vehicle ownership.

How do you idle up a 1991 honda accord

Look for a screw or nut that turns.Look at the cable that is connected to your accelerator. You can push back on the throttle and hear the engine race. The adjusting screw should be there.A few things to note....Wait until the engine has warmed up and the choke off..check the auto choke is working before you play with the idle...replace the air filter...by increasing the idle the Engine will be running"richer" before you adjust anything I would invest in a complete tune-up.The above info is for all carburator engines only.Good Luck.
