I have a suzuki xl7 2003 the steering wheel is locked. I move the steering wheel to the left to release the pressure, but I still can't turn the ignition

Elvira, You may have a shift interlock spring or cable problem. If you have already tried turning the steering wheel forcefully back and fourth and key is not turning, try and shift the car into park with a little force and pressing and releasing shifter button rapidly to release ignition key. Find a good locksmith or take vehicle into a good shop for diagnoses and estimate on repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Steering wheel will not lock in place and key will not turn in ignition

Make sure your brake lites work? Is the vehicle in park? With a console shift, there may be a shift interlock bypass button by the shifter, with your foot on the brake, press the button, then see if you can shift into neutral, then try to start it, see if it will operate correctly? I don't know if it will or not? Just a thought, if you haven't already tried it.

I put key in ignition this morning and the key would not turn. What do I do to fix problem? Steering wheel is not locked, battery is not dead

A couple of guesses so if it fails you'll have to post the problem again.

1) Is there a button to release the ignition lock, sometimes on the underneath of the steering column?
2) Assuming no or you've already tried that, sometimes, if when parked, the steering wheel is turned slightly, the steering lock and the ignition lock bind. Just try rocking the steering wheel left and right, no more than 8th of a turn, while trying to turn the ignition key. May just work.

Keys stuck in ignition. its in park. ( and 3 days out of warrenty)

In the ring around the ignition switch (where your key is stuck) there is a recessed dimple. Get a ballpoint pen, insert into the dimple, hold it there while turning your key to the lock position (if it's not already there) and remove the key.

As I got out of the car i grabbed the wheel and it moved left and clicked. Now I cant get the key to turn in ignition and wheel is locked. What do I do?

move the steering wheel while turning the key in the ignition and it should come unlocked. This happens sometimes, its just on a bind. Like i said just turn the steering wheel left and right the little bit that you can and the key will be able to turn.

My key wont turn im assuming i need a new ignition.i took the steering wheel off and everything around the column off.the only thing left is the ignition looks like its pressed together...

there should be a little hole there where you can slide a very small screwdriver into and then the key should fit in to the barrel and release the barrel, if this does not work consult your local dealer, they should be able to point you in the right direction

Changing steering wheel lock has engaged

The steering wheel lock is a metal prong that protrudes into the steering shaft from within the ignition lock assembly, that is held on by two security screws pointing upward underneath the plastic steering column covers. You can remove the 2 screws and check out the working of the mechanism. It's probably stuck. Most likely, when you put on the new steering wheel, you simply twisted the ignition assembly and it is now causing the steering lock to be wedged on in the lock channel. Try twisting it back the other direction with your hands and I'm pretty sure it will allow the spring loaded locking mechanism to release. This same problem happened to me and took me a while to troubleshoot what was going on in the mechanism and figure it out. If twisting it both directions and checking to see if it releases with the key turned doesn't fix it, just remove the ignition assembly and lubricate the locking mechanism bolt and that will fix it for sure.
