SOURCE: how to replace a coolant level sensor, 2000 buick century

The coolant level sensor is located on the radiator. If you are looking at the engine from the front of the car it will be on the left side. There will some kind of clip holding it in the radiator. Removed the clip and pull the sensor out. You will lose coolant so try to swap it out quick or drain some of the coolant out. Once new sensor is installed, install clip to keep the sensor in place and reconnect the wires to the sensor. Crank the engine and make sure the coolant level is full. This should correct your problem.

SOURCE: how do I replace the transmission coolant lines

Take a small 90 degree pick. Inspect the fitting closely. Use the pick to "roll" the retaining clip off the fitting. The line will simply pull once this is done. U can install the clip first on reinstallation (inspect them closely) and then simply push the line into the fitting. It will "click" into place. Note u will have to orient the line perfectly to push in.

Is it on the airbag recall list

Annette, I do not believe the 2001 Chevy Prizm is on the airbag recall list, I believe it involves vehicle made in and after 2002.
Check the GM link below, enter your serial #, to find out for certain whether it is. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Is there a way an individual driver can determine the repair code for a 2001 Chevy Prizm without taking it to a repair shop?

You need to pull the codes. The codes are just a CLUE and not the answer...for example, you can get an error code from on oxygen sensor, but have an intake leak causing the issue....Knowing the error code(s) is the first step.

2001 Chevy prizm with persistent check engine light, have replaced multiple sensors and canister. Has been on for four years running, current error code is P0441

4 years? you really need to find a mechanic that knows what hes doing. if you have replaced the canister and purge solenoid valve (muliple sensors? you realy need to be specific on what has or has not been replaced ) most times the hoses are not installed properly on the purge solenoid, or leak. the hose with the green cap/test port should be closest to the electrical connector.

How do i pull a radiator from a 2001 prizm

I don't know the Prizm, but I assume it is the same as other cars. Unhook both radiator hoses. Unhook both transmission coolant tubes. Unplug coolant level sensor. The top of the radiator is fastened with a plate held down by three bolts, the bottom just sits in holes. Unscrew these three and lift. Vwalla!
