How do i change the pick up coil on my 89 chevy 1500

The pick up coil is in the distributor cap. Mark and remove the plug wires, remove the cap, remove the pick up coil. Fining order for 5.0/5.7 is 18436572. Counter clockwise.

Car starts when cold but not warm

I have had this problem in the past. It is a weak coil or pick up coil. When it is cold it will start and run just fine but when it warms up it will sputter and not run good at all. You will need to change the coil or pick up coil in ya distributor and it will run fine.

Changed coil in 1997 c1500. New coil wouldn't fire and now old coil won't fire. What could be the problem?

Check for 12v at red wire, if ok then replace ign pick up module ( usually green and yellow wires under rotor). or pick up coil. hope this helps !!

I just changed fuel pump on this car . I drove it for twenty mile now it want start it will try but it want remain running . I changed fuel pump relay It didnt appear to help . Do you think it could be in...

That is a very good possibility and I would certainly suspect it to be the problem. Also, remove the distributor cap and look at the connector to the ignition module from the pick-up coil/stator and it should be white like it is shown in the image here of the pick-up coil/stator, and if it is dark in color or burnt looking then also replace the pick-up coil/stator or the distributor.

No spark

There's no emergence switch, if there was it would only be for fuel and not spark, there four thing to get spark,
ignition control module, ignition coil, distributor pick up assembly and spark plug wire's check for spark at coil, more then likely it's going to be your distributor pick up assembly, the pick up sit in side your ignition distributor, replace it and it will start, hope this was very helpful.

Engine turns over but no spark at the plugs. checked coil ok changed ignition moudle no luck changed rotor no luck. checked voltage from coil to cap getting 12vdc. checked voltage going to and coming out...

You can change pick-up coil, you need to remove distributor (mark where rotor is pointing first) Then you need to remove pin in cam gear on end of shaft to remove gear so you can remove shaft from housing. Then you can replace pick-up coil. Install in reverse. Note when removing distributor rotor will move to the right as you lift distributor out, move rotor to right of mark you made when installing distributor back in.

How do I change the air filter on my 2006 Ford F250 diesel truck?

You did not mention what engine you have but if you look in your owners manual starting on page 284 it shows you how to change it for either engine 5.4L gas or 6.0L diesel.

If you do not have an owners manual go to the web site below and pick owner guide from the left task bar, input your vehicle information then pick get owner guide then pick owner guide 2nd printing.
