The Intake air temp sensor (IAT) is located either in the air intake hose to eng. or the top of the air cleaner box.

2001 HYANDAI ELENTRA car was stuck in 3rd gear changed turn signal fuse was blown changed fuse work fine for a short time then then fuse blowed again then trans stop shiftinh again i changed the output...

I would suspect you have a short in the wiring to the transmission or the shift solenoid inside the ****** is shorted. Only way to know for sure is to get the wiring diagrams and trace down and inspect all the wiring that the fuse powers.

How do i adjust the timing on a hyunday sonata gl 4 cylinder 1995

Hi Frank, The ignition timing on your vehicle is controlled by the computer. If you have a problem with pinking, upgrade the fuel you use. Take the vehicle for a diagnostic scan. If you are having problems with engine performance the problem may well be with the knock sensor. The knock sensor is basically a crystal microphone that detects ignition knocking, sends signals to the computer and the computer adjusts the timing accordingly. Regards John

My idle is low on my 2001 ford focus se and it is a stick shift so my car dies when I come to a stop unless I have my foot on the gas just a bit. how can I turn up the idle? Help please.

The idle is computer controlled. It takes a reading from the crankshaft position sensor as well as the camshaft position sensor along with basic information from other sensors, processes it and sends a pulse signal to the intake air control valve (IAC). The IAC valve is positioned to allow air to bypass the throttle plate and control the idle. Once the throttle is opened the IAC is commanded on 100% until the throttle is closed. In short, a scan of the pids needs to be done to determine whether the processor is commanding the IAC on properly or if the IAC just isn't responding properly.

A scan for codes can be done but many times an IAC won't throw a code so the sensor pids really need to be performed to determine the root cause.Good luck.

P0500 P0501 P1529 2001 hundai elentra gls

P0500 and P0501 are vehicle speed sensor codes P1529 I can not find in any of my data bases. if you are using a generic scanner/code reader it may be a false display or for some reason it's not listed in my reference materials. I have 4 different sources 1 being factory material?

TRANSMISION OIL TYPE!

You need to use Hyundai Diamond ATF SP-II M or any fluid which lists compatible. I recommend Hyundai brand fluid but aftermarket is ok. The listing would be on the bottle. Do no use Dextron / Mercon fluids.

please rate my anwers.
Thanks

2001 hyundai elantra idling high

weeeeiiirrdddd. i have a 2001 hyundia elentra gls, and my third cylinder is misfiring as well. my car also revs constantly on idle and in between shifting. it will flutter between 2-3000 or it will just stay at 5000. i replaced my plugs and wires to no fix with my cylinder. autozone also told me that it sounds like my throttle position sensor needs replaced, but every part they try to sell me will not fit and they swear up and down this is the right part...
