Serpentine Belt Diagrams

Hi Friend:

#1) On your vehicle you have a Serpitine Belt tensioner ,your Serpitine Belt runs on this also;

#2) Locate your Belt Tensioner its (Aluminum) and is Spring Loaded to kep your Belt at the Proper Tension.

#3) On the front side of the Tensioner there is a Bolt Head, Get a Breaker Bar ,Correct size Socket or(Ratchet and Socket)

#4) With the tool on the bolt head the Tensioner will move by applying pressure to the Tension.It will only move 1-Way when applying Pressure with Your Tool.

#5) By Moving the Tensioner you will be getting enough Slack that you Can Put the Belt Back on.

#6) You should have a Belt Routing Diagram on your Cooling Fan Shruod or the Frame in Front of it.

#7) Just take a Good look at how the Belt HAS to Be Routed it will only work 1-Way.

#8) So Follow the Diagram for Routing and you should have no Problems. Don't Forget it Will not Go on Correctly until you Apply perssure to your Belt Tensioner.

click on the link and find you engine and select the belt routing diagram

There should be a diagram on the front rail ..where you hood latches....unless someone has removed it...if it has been removed ..i'll try to find the diagram for it...i hope this helps...Keith

go to schucks or auto zone they can give you a copy of the diagram, get it from whee you bought the belt, also the diagram should be on the hood under it near emissions sticker or on the air cleaner or on the radiator core support.
