Question about 1999 Acura Integra

Inside light coming on

My wife hasd a 99 LS and the inside light comes on and off while driving. She is on a bumpy road and its like a disco. Acura has fixed the problem before and has told me that by adjusting the rubber (gromets?) Seals? on the hatchback it will stop...
any more info would be helpful since this is driving her nuts and we don't want to pay Acura $200.00 to fix it. Again.

Have you tried to duplicate the problem w/o driving the car. You should be able to lift up on the hatch and make the light come on and off. If this is the problem you should be able to make the switch taller w/ a couple of thin washers between the nut. I had the same problem in my CRX. Thats what I did to fix it. If you can't make it come on and off by trying to open the hatch then you might have a loose connection at the bulb. If it still persists just take the bulb out. I know it sucks but its saves 200 bones.

One of your door needs to be adjusted. to find out you will need to tape one of the door switch and drive it. if it is still happening you know that that is not the door. move on to the other one

No engine light on? Sounds to me like the bumpy road may be knocking something loose. It would help to know if you have fuel pressure when the problem arises.

Car dies when going over really bumpy roads

If the brake pedal goes hard right BEFORE the car dies, and not after, then you could have a problem INSIDE the brake power booster. try to verify this next time it dies at a stop, if you can safely pull the dead car off the road into a driveway (or try to make it stall in a bumpy parking lot) - then before you try to restart the car, open the hood, pull off the rubber hose where it's plugged into the brake power booster --> you SHOULD hear a big "Swoosh" of air being sucked into the booster because there's supposed to be a strong vacuum there even after the car stops running. if you get nothing there, your car is dying of an excessive vacuum leak through the brake booster.= bad booster.

Hard to say without hearing it but check front stabiliser "d" bushes for wear & check all subframe bolts are tight. Does the noise stop if you press the brake lightly.

I drive a 99 acura integra gs. whenever i apply my brakes, my instrument lights come on. all the lights on the dashboard comes on. and when i turn my headlights on, my brake lights turns on bright red....

Hi, one of your brake light sockets is shorted across the 2 terminals. Remove each bulb to see if there is something in one of the sockets that is connecting the 2 terminals. If not, the problem may be inside the socket or behind the socket. You may have to replace the brake light sockets to resolve the problem. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Where can I find the air bag fuse. My 2007 Equinox has the airbag light on but after driving a few miles or on a bumpy road it turns off.

You don't keep riding around with any check light
on your dash

You get to a repair shop and have it diagnosed
and repaired

You may not even have the Air Bag turned on if
have an accident.

Fuses don't perform any function or go bad

I have a 94 acura integra ls & now air is coming out of the vents

Check all of the fuses related to the air conditioning. That is where I would start. Normally the AC has its own set of fuses and relays.
