Hi there, you will need to remove the injector and replace the copper seal on the base of the injector. You do this by de-pressurising the fuels rail, ie, loosen the metal pipe attached to the injector, fuel will spill till all pressure has gone. remove the metal pipe and the multiplug connector too, remove the clamp and bolt holding the injector in place. Gently twist the metal part of the injector body and with an upwards motion remove it from the bore. Clean the bore thoroughly and use a vacuum to remove the carbon as you scrape it away. Once happy everything is clean, replace the copper washer and refit the injector in reverse order as for removal. You will have a sealed injector and no blowing will be heard.

Hope this helps

Why is gas leaking out my muffler?

If it is liquid gas, you likely have a hard fuel system fault pouring liquid gas into the engine unrestricted. This frequently is caused on older vehicles by things like fuel pressure regulator failures, injector or computer injector driver failures, or sometimes computer faults related to fuel control improperly stuck in lean mode so the computer thinks there isnt enough gas in the engine, and adds fuel till the sensors see the ratio is correct. But if the sensors that would tell it when it reaches correct amount are stuck or broken, it will add fuel sometimes nearly forever till it starts liquifying the exhaust (Seen a Toyota with a bad O2 sensor hit 13.3% CO from a bad pair of O2 sensors. For comparison, normal CO is 0.5% or less. it had 25x normal fuel enrichment amount!)

Basically its ridiculously dangerous. Dont drive the car like that, tow it to service or fix it. It can catch fire, choke passengers on HC fumes, it can hydralock the engine and cause it to blow or severely damage internal parts, it can destroy o2 sensors and catalytic converters and mufflers. If the fumes collect and ignite from sparks or heat, it can detonate like a grenade! Usually not enough to injure passengers, but you dont wanna find out, and even if it stays underneath in the exhaust it can blow the catalytic converter or muffler to kingdom come...and both are expensive to fix especially when it can be prevented, Seek service immediately. They need to check for mechanical fuel issues (leaking injector, stuck injector, leaking fuel pressure regulator) or excessive fuel trims (System is at +25 long and short term trims despite the fact its actually got too much gas thinks it needs more. The computer is likely very wrong!

Hope it helps.

When I come to a halt in traffic I get exhuast fume smell in the cabin

fuel injector washer needs replacing when this fault occurs somtime it is not apparent some times you get a noise remove plastic cover on top of engine start up and look for carbon build up around any of the fuel injectors also for exhaust gas leakage the fumes are pulled in to the cabin via heater ducts mainly when vehicle is at a standstill good look.

Fumes escaping from ac vents inside vehicle while driving and leaves a film residue on inside of windshield whenever the heat or defrost are used.

Hello dedunwoodie.
Your heater core is beginning to leak coolant.
As the fan blows through it it is picking up the liquid and depositing it on your windshield.
It will need to be replaced to solve your problem.
