Question about 2001 Hyundai Accent
I have the accent for a few months and if i drive around few km no problem. As soon as i drive for more then 100 km in a day , the same day or the next it won't start. i think i smell burn odor when i have been driving many km. It does that everytime. Yesterday i drove for 183 km in the same day came back home, today the car won,t start at all. driving few km around town it goes very well. plugs , timing belt are 8 months old. gas line seems ok .no other problem. i'm afraid to take it and stall somewhere. very very odd
You may want to see if your catalitic converter is clogged up. I had a car that had that problem, when you drove too much it would die and wouldn't start for a long time after that. I had the converter replaced and now it drives just fine. May not be the same problem but it could be. and most muffler shops will check for a small fee if not for free.
