Put the car on stands and put a jack within a few inches of the under side of the engine. Loosen the bolt mounts by about have a turn. Have a friend use a length of timber and use jack top as a lever fulcrum to take the weight of the engine off the mount whilst you remove the mounting bolts. Take care not to put any load on the oil pan as it can crush quite easily. You should be able to adjust the engine attitude about two inches without having to detach anything, this is enough room to get the old mount out and therefore the new one in. Take your time and keep safe
Do the flashers still work? This sounds like a bad flasher relay problem.Locate the flasher for the turn signals and hazard lights. The flasher relay is under the dash near the steering column. It will be the larger of the square relays.Try wiggling it to see if turn siganls will work or emergency flashers will work. The relay should look like this
Check Battery connects,Cables.Clean !Also to engine ground. Then Alternator belt tension.Listen for slippage. Check connection on starter relay, and bolts on starter, tap on starter while a buddy starts engine, with the key. Could be bad brushes in starter and or bad relay at starter.
The flasher on the avenger is mounted in the dash under and behind the heater controls. You will need to remove the panel under the heater controls to access. This is a combination flasher that controls both signals and hazards.
happened in my 1997 dodge avenger, go ahead and replace the complete turn signal behind the plastic on the columb, very easy to do, 3 screws under the columb, 2 screws on the black plastic side of the turnsignal swithch facing the drivers side door, unplug, put in new or one out of junk yard, thats what i did and it fixed no problem...
i also have a 2008 avenger rt.its o good thing your car is under warranty it is must likely the turn multifunction switch.which controls a lot of stuff light turn signals brights. i hope this helped please rate this answer thanks.
It depends on the model of avenger you have, coupe or convertible. It can either be in the steering column with the multifuntcion switch(basically the turn signal lever and wiper control asembly) or it is in the center console behind the radio.
