if you are just changing the pads there are 2 bolts that split the caliper in halve and allow you to change the pads thres two bolts are located top and bottom on the backside of the caliper and require an allen wrench for removal to remove the whole caliper there are 2 bolts on the back side closer to the center top and bottom that require a 17mm socket remove these 2 bolts clamp off the flex brake hose with a clamp and remove from caliper and work up and down until caliper comes away from disc
remove 2 caliper bolts, remove old pads. put new pads in there place, before installing the caliper, be sure to squeeze the piston back in the caliper otherwise it will not fit back over the new pads. than replace the caliper and the 2 mounting bolts.
I would recommend replacing the Brake Rotor's. It is not to hard to change those out. If you pick up a Chilton's repair manual it will walk you through all the steps changing them. Now you will not be able to tell if the rotor's are warped just by looking at them you will just need to change them out.

when you had the rear pads applied and the discs turned was there noticeable damage to the disc surface it sounds like your e brake cable is not adjusted properly or perhaps the braided wires inside the insulation are seperating along your brake cable causing the rear brakes to not be adjsting themselves properly. Every time the parking brake is applied the rear brakes are self adjusted if they arent being applied due to slack in or a broken cable you will not adjust your rear brakes. This would accont for the flutter in the brake pedal as hydraulic fluid is still circulating to compress the pads against the rotor but the pads arent reaching the rotor.
