It is located in the rear of the vehicle in the gas tank. It would be wise to drain the gas out first before you try to drop the tank. There should be 2 straps holding the tank up. When they are removed the tank should come down easily, don't forget that there will be wires hooked up as well as fuel lines. Remove the lines and wires and unscrew the lock nut and pull the pump out of the tank. To replace it just follow these instructions in reverse.

The best advice i can give you with such little information, is to go to a autoparts store and get a haynes repair manual for you car, about $18 , it will show you step by step instructions.

Can't siphon a full tank of gas from my 2001 300m. Tried numerous methods. Is there an anti-siphon mechanism stopping me? Sure would like to empty this tank today. Help!?!

most modern tanks have such a device in the filler tube for obvious reasons
take the hose off the outlet side of the fuel pump
connect a long hose from there to a container/s and turn on the ignition
if the tank is full you will need at least 3 X 20 litre gerry cans to hold the fuel

My 2001 Chrysler 300m isn't getting fuel what could be the problem and where is the fuel filter located

filter is located above the fuel tank. it will have to be lowered enough to gain to it to change. not getting fuel could be poor fuel pressure, check with a gauge should be about 50 PSI. first make sure the pump is working you should hear a humming noise when you turn the key to start. you might have to have someone by the fuel tank with the gas cap off to hear. if you don`t hear it running you can try hitting the bottom of the tank, it may jar the pump enough to start to work. if this works replace the fuel pump.

2001Chrysler 300m. engine shutdown during driving .won't restart

most likely the fuel pump has failed. To check it... have someone lean under the car as close as possible to the fuel tank, then turn on the ignition key while the person listens for a whineing noise. if they hear nothing. the pump has failed.

Chrysler 300m wont start changed fuel pump. Was acting like it wanted to start before i changed the fuel pump, with starting fluid. the car acts like its going to start but wont. The relays have been...

What prompted you to change the fuel pump to begin with? Did you check the codes on the dash? Or have someone OBD check it? It could be a crank sensor, but the codes should reveal that. Codes first and work backwards, please.

2001 300m wont start changed fuel pump turns over but will not start any ideas

is there a spark at the leads? check leads, coil, crank or cam position sensors, e.c.m in that order. if there is a spark and the new pump's fitted correctly, check for fuel blockages along fuel line, if injectors are opening, air flow sensor.
or alternatively have a reliable technician put it on a diagnising machine. i'm sure you'll agree that it would save alot of time and effort

I need to know where to find the fuel filter

Check under your rear seat. If you dont find it there it is Mounted in the the gastank. I would suggest you dont drop the tank and take it to a shop for them to do it. THere are special tools used to remove the gasoline in the tank and also remove the pup itself. If it is in the seat then disconnect the battery and its just a fuel bolts that you can remove. If you remove it make sure to cover the hole where your pump was . You dont want to ignite those Fumes in the sun.

first check to see if you are getting fuel to yhe engine. you can stand in back of car and have someone to turn ignition switch to on not start and if the fuel pump is working, you'll be able to hear it. if not you could have a bad fuel pump
