Question about 2006 Dodge Caravan

1 Answer

Battery? Altinator? or Electrical?

2006 Dodge Grand Caravan with 38,000 miles just developed a problem with what seems like a dead battery. I went to start the can and all I hear is "click, click, click" and then I jumped the battery and the car started fine. But now when I start the car I have that dead battery scenario then on the the third try it start, then the RPM, Speedodometer, and the rest of the guages go all the way to the other end of the scale. Does anyone have any thoghts on the matter?

You just need to disconnect ground - wire from battery and you can choose one of the hoses on the fuel filter, put a oil pan before disconnect this hose... that's enough!

Lights started flickering battery light came on Dash lights and gages went crazy now wont start

Like you said, battery may be flat. You can check that with a multimeter.

Next check the alternator. Faulty alternator leads to uncharged battery.
