Neon 2001 My radio and all the lights will flash and all you can hear is a click in the speakers need help Thank you

    hi djmac62 thank for reply .....all the fuse and battery is good
    the lights keep blinking on the equalizer buttons and the radio display screen the CD changer connected to the radio seems to work fine, ie it will eject and receive a cd some say need theft lock mode or factory radio code but i dont have it i bought this used car need help

It sounds like you have a loose wire. check the ground wire and the hot wire make sure they have good connection.

    you can also check and replace the fuse, make sure your battery is connected good too. by lights, do you mean the radio lights or all the lights in the car???

    the only way to get the code other than the previous owner is at the dealer. and it might cost you more than to just replace the stereo. just give the dealer a call and see what they'll charge you. sorry

if the starter is clicking, try tapping on it with a hard piece of wood, like that of a hammer handle, while someone tries to start the car. if it starts, replace the starter. also make sure electrcal connectins on the starter are tight and clean. and check the starter relay if applicable

2001 dodge neon radio


Also had no radio but flashing bass/treble indicator lights. As suggested by another post, I disconnected neg. batt. cable and pulled the "interior cluster" fuses, re-set them and then reconnected batt. cable. This fixed the radio.

that is a good one it has come in twice there is a lose wire in the steering columb that will touch when it gets wiggled. make sure to check there first. it has also been the flasher fuse so check there too
