Question about 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier
1993plymouth grand voyager. transmission was rebuilt. as soon as i picked it up car started in 2nd gear and wouldnt shift. turned off car and worked ok for 1 month. then i would be driving around 65 then it starts to rev ( out of gear) i have to slow down to 47 then it grabs into second gear. ( limp mode) Will not down shift or upshift. untill i shut it off and turn it on. brought back8 times. works good for 1 month approx 3,000 miles then back to the same old bs. checked wire harness ok grounds ok replaced relay ok. brought it to another trans shop they thinkit internal . does anyone know of a comp related prob like this maybe faulty speed sensor etc... if so where is it located any help would be greatly apppreciated
Sounds like your tranny guy just did a bad job, the tranny needs to come out and be inspected internally. I bet the guy has a lock pin in wrong, or not at all.
