The 'miss' could be attiributed to a misfire. If you have a SES light it would be nice to know the code. A misfire will usually send a P030X code (X=cylinder) indicating the need fr new plug wires. If no SES, it points to fuel delivery and the injectors would be the next stop.

SOURCE: tryck acts like its missing

sounds to me like a week coil, to do a quick check when it is dark pull your coil wire off from the cap run a wire from it to some where you can see it and about one eighth of an inch from the body, from the drivers seat and crank it over (or have someone crank it over for you while you look) and if the spark is bright blue its ok. but if it is yellow and not that bright then it needs to be replaced

The car acts like it is running out of gas.. it only does it on take off or when imneeding to excelerate

the problem is either fuel or air.
check the air filter first, cheapest
things it could be:
1. fuel pump
2. fuel pressure regulator
3. map sensor
4. pollution control valve

Car runs perfect then starts missing real bad then stalls

Not unusual for fuel pumps to begin to fail once they are heated up from running. First thing in the morning pump is cool, then as you drive, it heats up and begins to lose pressure. After sitting a 1/2hr-1hr, it may start again and run fine for a short time and start to act up again. Had similar problem and found good fuel pressure when tank and pump cool, but lost pressure once vehicle driven a distance and pump heated up. The hotter the weather, the shorter the distance I could drive. If you can somehow set it up to have fuel pressure checked when it starts to act up, that would certainly help confirm if fuel pressure is the culprit.

2005 Dodge Stratus 2.4L,runs good until you start to drive it, then it bogs down and falls on its face

could be clogged fuel filter or low fuel pressure due to a weak pump or fuel pressure regulator.

A 460 engine that acts like its not getting enough fuel. Will start but runs as if only on half the cylinders missing badly or such.

Check your running fuel pump pressure. If (as I suspect) it's too low, first try changing your fuel filter. After changing the filter, recheck the running fuel pump pressure. If still low, check you fuel pump pressure regulator. If OK, you may need a new fuel pump.

Also probably would be a good idea to replace you air filter.

Good luck!

Cranks over fine acts like it is not getting fuel, changed fuel filter sometimes will start but misses badly. Worked fine before just all of a sudden did this

check fuel press if not 30 to 35 psi your fuel pump has fail, if fuel press ok, then remove vac. hose from fuel press regulator and have some one open the ignition swith, if fuel comes out of regulator replace it, this also fould your plugs badly because lost of fuel are going into the eng via a vac. hose

2004 Dodge stratus randomly stops working, acts like lack of fuel. If it sits for a day it will start again and be fine for undertermined amount of time.

Could be many things, But id first check and change fuel filter. It may be fuel pump but hopefully not. If you get a check engine light when it acts up, Id hook it to a computer and get codes..
