David, is it one brake light, or both not working? If it's both, check the brake light switch (mounted high on the brake pedal). Let me know what u find.

Where is the fuse for rear tailgate cargo lights on a 2001 town n country

If you have the other dome lights, it's the wires. They usually break in the rubber boot from the hatch to the body. It's at the top of the hatch.

Why did my radio and accessory lights go out on my 2001 Chrysler town and country?

On GM vehicles, the dash and accessory lights go out when there is a blown fuse on the tail lights. This design was to get your attention that your driving at night with no tail lights. Most tail light problems are from connecting trailer lights wrong or shorted bulbs/ sockets. This might not apply to Chrysler, but it's something to check.

Lft break light will not work replaced bulb and checked fuse what would be next

Was the original bulb burned out? If so, check to make sure you have the correct replacement bulb. If the original bulb was ok then you have a wiring issue. Check all the connections to make sure they are good and clean. If no luck then trace it down with wire peircing probe for voltage continuity.

Brake light switch can be checked with a test light. Since the 3rd brake light is not working That's probably the problem.

No brake lights, new bulbs. where is fuse box in 2001 town & country

If both of your brake lights are out including the third light above the rear door you should check 1: brake switch located behind brake pedal. 2: relays under hood although not a likely problem. 3: trailer wiring if there is any. Most likely it will be the first though as it controls all brake lights.
