My 2000 GMC Sierra will not Crank

There is no spark and all it does is spin. I replaced the Crank sensor behind the starter. My ECM 2 fuse was also blown. I replaced it. but it still just spins . It kills a battery in two or three tries. My battery was bad the auto parts store told me so I tried the battery out of my other truck and it killed it in three tries. What is really going on? Please help me I need that truck for work.

Check power to ignition module. I think it's powered by the INJB fuse. See next to last page at link.

SOURCE: I have a 2000 GMC

You may check the starter motor. Sometimes they draw to much current from the battery and cause it to drain down to soon and not allow current to go anywhere else to start.

I have a 94 gmc sierra 4x4 my injectiors won't work..I have put In a new ecm ignition module still nothing. I have power on the fuse and power on one side of my injectiors t they wont pulse

your testing is no good. (no engine told at all)
the ECM ,only injects using this logic.,

1: fuses good
2: ECM good (i bet yes)
3: CKP and CMP senors dead.
4: if the ECM sees spark dead it cuts all fuel to prevent as seen on TV "CRASH AND BURN" and by LAWs on this fact.
5: some cars have Injector buffer modules between ECM and injector rails.(LOOK OR READ THE FSM)
6: fuel pump dead.
7: fuel filters clogged or it and injectors too (they have 10micron screens)
8: have a NOID light? to see if injectors are not fired by ECM?
the injector plugs all have 12vdc on one pin, do they if not fuse blowN, #1 AGAIN.. USING A DMM, METER.

mostly this list works too BELOW.. (noid lamp fails)
fuses
ckp and or CMP sensor dead. The crank and cam must spin !!!!
if CMP is dead and cam does not spin, well that be cam drive dead.

spark dead, if spark is dead ECM detects it dead and fueling is banned,(blocked)by laws. (fire avoided , win)
way3:
if NOID passes on all injectors (as will spark tests)
fuel pressure gone. we measure it. (bad pump, clogs or bad fuel)

if spark is good test fuel test works.
ever do test fuel on any engine using can-o-fuel or instant start fuel in a spray can, seen engine run for 3 seconds and sounds good.?
RTM FIRST? there are sure more causes, list is common, only. and hard logic truths.

2004 sierra 5.3 cranks no spark

Did you check primary voltage at the ignition coil, pink wire, goes hot with key on. Fuse protected circuit. Use a test light to check for voltage with key on. Do you have voltage to fuel injectors, key on. Fuel injector fuse/ coil, according to my info.

I have a 2000 gmc Sierra 3/4 ton 4x4 k series I have no spark to my spark plugs I have changed the crank sensor an the ignition module not sure what else I can try I'm thinking maybe the ignition coil

Check to see if you are getting spark from the coil to the distributor. I suppose the engine is a 5.7 liter? If not getting spark to the cap, then check for power and ground pulse at the coil.If there is spark at the cap, replace the ignition rotor. If there is no power or ground pulse at the coil, check to see if the ignition rotor is spinning when the starter is engaged. If the distributor is not spinning while cranking the engine there are several more things you'll need to check,i.e.,distributor gear and pin as well as oil pump if the pin or gear are damaged.

No spark or fire to plugs

Sounds like a bad crank position sensor or a bad camshaft position sensor.... If the sensors can't tell the ecm where the position the crankshaft or camshaft is, the ecm won't know when to send a spark. So the ecm won't send any spark.

ECM I fuse keeps blowing in my 1996 1 ton gmc sierra 4x4 with a 454 v8 engine whats causing it

For the ECM 1 fuse to open you obviously have a short to ground , start with the injector disconnected and see if ECM 1 fuse still blows. If it does disconnect crank sensor, also inspect wires for the injectors or any rub through wires here is a diagram cansmo_178.gif

2003 sierra 4.8 cranks but wont start!

The crankshaft postion sensor is right above the starter on the engine block. Either it got broken during the starter replacement or the connector is unplugged, no crank sensor equals no spark.
