My ABS and TRAC off light keeps coming on what is happening

Trac control and ABS lights come on usually when one of your ABS wheel sensors is either bad and needs replacing or corroded and just may need cleaning. This happened to me. It was my front left abs sensor. they replaced it and al the lights went out and all good now. I also bought an OBDII that plugs into your car and the computer tells the OBDII whats wrong and what sensor it is. You also get the option to erase the codes and put out some or all the lights on your dash. Some times a glitch will light a light on the dash and resetting or erasing it with the OBDII corrects the problem. Hope this helps. God Bless :O)

The service engine light does not affect the abs.You most likely have a broken wire in your abs system which is affected by suspension movement.A code reader which does abs codes will tell you which wheel circuit is turning on the abs light.When there is no abs available the track will turn off.

TAKE CAR TO A GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP HAVE THE ABS BRAKES AND TRACTION CONTROL CODE SCAN.YOUR ABS BRAKE SYSTEM WILL COME ON ADJUSTING BRAKE PRESSURE TO AVOID A SKID.THAT WHY LOW TRAC LIGHT COMES ON. MOST OF THE TIME WHEN YOU SEE LOW TRAC LIGHT DRIVING ON DRY ROADS PROBLEM IS IN THE ABS BRAKE UNIT OR BAD WHEEL SPEED SENSOR.

When the Service engine soon, ABS and TRAC lights are turned on at the same time the computer control units for the engine and the ABS/TRAC systems has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system and the ABS and Traction Control system (part of the ABS system). Well, try having the car hooked up to a diagnostic machine. The abs light usually comes on with the cavaliers. my wife has a 96, and the same thing happens with the abs. As for the etf light, I dont know what etf is. Is that suppsed to be atf? That would be tranny fluid if it is.

youll need to scan for transmission codes. the trac off light is a default of the trans going into a default safety mode. Bad speed sensors and simple little bolt on items like that can cause the condition but only way to really nail it is with a computer.

Might have a front wheel bearing going out take it to a shop they can hook up a computer and tell you which bearing it is
