Re: 1990 Sentra left wiper inop
Hi. I had this happen to me on my 2000 F-150. You stripped out the gears in the wiper arm where it mounts on the motor. Replace the wiper arm on that side. They are inexpensive and very easy to change. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can be of anymore assistance.

May want to look at replacing the wiper circuit board. It is located on the firewall adjacent to the wiper motor and has a some what square black cover with 3 torx screws and wireing harness pluged into the side.We had a truck that every time you washed it the wipers would stay on until it dryed out.You can try removing it and spaying it down with contact cleaner just watch the brease on the two contact tips.Well hope this helps.
hii..ya u have to replace it with the new
one.Since it is frozen u can't do anything
with that.once u replace it with the new one
it will start working.Other than replacing the
wiper u have nothing to do.
you likely broke the plastic gear inside the wiper motor by turning wiper on when wipers were frozen to glass. you will have to replace the motor.
you can buy motor on Ebay cheap.
you have to remove screen at bottom of windshield for access. remove side windshield mouldings to be abe to get screen off.
watch very, very carefully how you get wiper linkage out or you will have a hard time getting it back in.
you probably bent or broke the wiper linkage check under the hood and see if you can get to the wiper linkage from there to see if it just popped off. If not you will have to take the cowling off the bottom of the windshield and check it out.
A replacement linkage is not that expensive and if your halfway decent with tools you could replace it just remember if you remove the wipers do not leave the arms up incase they drop down and crack the windshield.
The grooves on the motor shaft got worn out or something that holds the wiper shaft to the motor broke. take off the wiper shaft and you have more or less an idea what it could be.it is obviously not the motor.
