Question about 2003 Nissan 350Z

1 Answer

350z map lights (2) are not working

These are the lights located on the inside front roof. Both lights are out. Is there a fuse for these by chance? It seem doubtful that both would fail.

    Hi,

I just purchased the car and everything else seems to work. Do the map lamp covers snap off so I can check the bulbs? By the way where is the fuse box. I found one under the hood. Is there another box?

    Thanks,
    Richard

There is a fuse but it doesn't just protect those lamps. Is there anything else that is not working?

How to replace headlight switch

First check all the light bulb's. Then check all the fuse's related to the lights on the vehicle. If that doe's not solve the problem, Check the relay that may be associated with the exterior rear light's. If that does not solve the problem, You either have a bad light switch itself located under the light knob that you are turning the lights on and off with, which is located on the dashboard display panel in various different location's depending on the make, model and year of your motor vehicle. and if that does not solve your problem it is possibly a wiring shortage which is followed from the light switch through the dashboard, to the fuse box, then through the entire vehicle running from the front of the vehicle to the back of the vehicle on the floor of the vehicle on either side of the vehicle, or the wire's may be located in the interior roof trim located on the inside of the vehicle over the door area running from the front off the vehicle to the rear of the vehicle, or the wire's could also run from the front of the vehicle to the back of the vehicle through the center of the floor or center console area, But most light shortage's are located either at the light fixture itself, which is where the light bulb is located, or either at the fuse in the fuse box, or at the light switch located on the dashboard display area.

The passenger side brake light, and passenger side (front and back) window control doesn't work is it a fuse?

Well, the short answer is no.
The lights and windows are are different fuses.
There's a slight chance you have a problem with a ground wire on that side, but I doubt the two problems are related.
I would check the light for power and ground, and look at the window switches for power and ground. The windows are powered thru the driver switch on most cars.

I have 2 problems the interior light on the inside of the roof not working. And also the light fir the rear defroster not working. How do I fix these? I have a 1993 Honda.

First check your fuses, chances are they are on the same circuit. If your fuse is blow there is a reason for it. Not sure if your rear defroster would be tied in with that, but you could unplug it and replace your fuse to see what happens. A problem like this may require some wiring schematics and a multimeter to properly test the circuit.

Low beam on left side doesnt work . no voltage on red wire are there a fuuse on 2002 altama for that light

by chance is it a red with a yellow tracer ? anyway to answer your question yes there is a relay for the right and a relay for the left headlights and a fuse for each the left and 1 for the right also , located in the power distribution module , in the right front of engine compartment . if the right light works and the left doesn't and you are in doubt about the relays , consider swapping relays and see if the problem changes to the opposite side . johnny5
