Sounds like you need a new battery, and or a new altenator.

Dodge Dakota stalls at 1000rpm

I know this sounds weird but change the battery. I had the same thing happen on my Dodge Dakota. When the battery is bad the alternator doesn't put out enough juice at 1000 rpm to keep the electronic ignition going.

Sounds like you have a bad alternator. Not recirculating juice back to the battery.

I'm thinking its the battery. Heat kills batteries. You said it wont jump start. That's a dead ringer for a bad battery. It may have enough juice to power some things, but wont run the starter, or the fuel pump, or the ignition(spark). Try a new battery and let me know!

When i turn the key nothing happens and it won't start

1st thing to check is battery connections. Make sure they are on tight.
If so, then check the ground connection.. Negative battery wire to body connection. Check if solid, not full of corrosion or seperated.

Try getting a jump.. It's possible the battery is depleted entirely, if you have a short.

1999 kia sportage turns over but wont start.chek engine light not coming on when ignition is switched on

This sounds like the ignition fuse, but you may have a dead battery too. check connections on the cables and see if it will start with a jump. You may have left the lights on or some other device and drained the battery. If it won't start with a jump then check all your fuses one at a time including the ones under the hood. The diagram on the covers should have one saying ignition but check ALL the fuses any how, A domino effect can sometimes happen taking more then one fuse out. Let me know how it turns out so far. Most partstores will test battery altenator and starter for free. Either your battery is dead or your connections are not metal to metal contact, or you starter relay may be shot. You can put key in on position and either test with a voltmeter or use a screwdriver and jump terminals on solenoid to see if starter turns.

My gauges work but it wont turn over i dont hear any noise from the starter

Three possibilities I think:
First is weak battery. There may be enough juice to light the gauges but it takes power to turn an engine.

Second, bad solenoid. The solenoid is a relay which closes the high current circuit that delivers the cranking power to the starter motor. If you hear clicking in the engine compartment (not the starter) when you turn the ignition switch on it is probably the solenoid engaging and disengaging. However if the battery is weak it won't turn the starter motor. If the solenoid is clicking look at the battery first. The solenoid could be bad but the clicking indicates it's trying to work and there just may not be enough juice to turn over the engine.

Third possibility is the starter motor itself is dead. You have to answer some questions for yourself. Is this an old, neglected car or one that has been taken care of? I would be looking at battery. Can you jump start it? If yes then weak battery is the likely problem. If the car and battery are relatively new and in good condition you should suspect the charging system, that is, the alternator. Did this happen all of a sudden on a car that was running fine recently or has the car been sitting idle for weeks/months.Eliminate the easy stuff.
Clean battery terminals?
Good battery connections and ground?
Try jump start - if yes then follow up battery/charging system. If no start then try to hear for solenoid clicking. If jump start does nothing -figure the solenoid first. If it sounds like solenoid is kicking in but engine does not turn then the starter is looking a little guilty. Jump starting will answer a lot of questions. If the car is really dead then the car that is jumping may have to be connected and revved up a couple minutes to juice up the dead battery enough to turn the starter over. If it turns over a little during the jump start but just barely then you should figure your battery is bad.

Running engine stalled

There are many things that can cause a car to stall while driving it. An engine is made up of many parts, and many of those parts are either governed by a computer or provide input to the computer to help it determine settings for the things it governs. Every vehicle has a fuel system and an ignition system. The computer and its sensors monitor and govern the fuel and ignition systems.

If your car stalled while you were driving it, look for an obvious reason first. Check to make sure you have fuel in the tank (if your gas gauge is working). Do not sit there and crank the car over, trying to get it to start, as you will quickly wear down the battery if it's not already bad.

IGNITION:
The ignition system is composed of: ignition switch, neutral safety switch, security bypass, plugs, wires (if applicable) and a coil, or in the case of coil-over systems, many coils. The crank and cam sensors tell the engine where top dead center is. Though these sensors do not usually cause a no start, if they break, the computer will go into "limp home mode," which allows you to get the car to a service station. The car will run badly, and may stall out on you.

Because the running of a vehicle is complicated, there are many more things that can cause a vehicle to stall. These are the most common things that can cause a car to stall. Other things include wiring, fuses, relays, other sensors not working properly or at all, a bad alternator or a bad battery, or an overheating problem, just to name a few.
