SOURCE: Where is pcv valve located on 2005 taurus
It is below the egr valve close to the intake manifold below the intake air sensor, there is a tube running to it from the engine to recirculate exhaust air with fresh air, there is a clamp holding it to the air intake that you need pliers to remove, then you need to turn counter-clockwise 90 degrees to remove, do the reverse to install. to make it easier to access remove the upper intake. The pcv valve is not visible, however, you can identify it by the 3" inch long rubber hose that connects to the steel line running into the bottom of the intake. I have the part and am going to replace it soon, although Ford really makes it difficult to remove it -
pcv valve is located just under the throttle body. remove air cleaner assembly from throttle body and you will see a u shaped hose running horizontally.

I will assume you you have the Duratec engine (24 valve). It is located under the intake manifold on the transmission side of the engine. Real tough to get out without some real long pliers with a ring type end on it. It needs to be twisted counterclockwise to release it. replace the hose to it while you are there also , they degrade and will cause a vacuum leak.

the pcv is located on the rear(firewall) of the drivers side valve cover.turn counterclockwise and pull to remove be careful there are 2 small tabs inside the pcv hole in the valve cover(can feel with small finger) this is to hold valve in place so it wont leak.if you have a oil leak at the pcv a quick fix is to put a small amount of silicone around the pcv o-ring and install.wait hours for silicone to set up.
