SOURCE: toyota sienna 2004 rear seats

I have had a similar problem on my 2004 Siena 2 times - strap you pull to release the seat has no tension. Dealer fixed under war both times (I watched the second time). If your problem is the same, the cable that controls the release may not be in position. As I recall, you remove about six screws, remove the plastic housing, find the cable and reset then test the release.

Toyota Sienna third row seat won't lock into place in the upright position. Already cleared around locking bar and moved rug, nothing is getting in the way of the locking bar.

maybe the catch has move and needs adjusting .....or there is movement in the catch that means it cannot retain lock.
This is a situation where you can only empirically find out what the issue is.

good luck

I have a 99 Silverado and the passenger side seat back will not lock back into the upright position. Locks fine into reclining positions. What could be the problem?

i had this problem on my 96 chevy, basically theres a set of ratcheting gears that lock the seat in place in the various positions. sometimes over time or due to abuse one side or the other gets stripped out and the seat will no longer lock into place. i found a ripped up seat on Craigslist that was in a part out truck and bought it cheap then took both seats in the an upholstery shop, between the junked out seat (15 bucks) and the labor at the shop (50bucks) it cost me 65 bucks to fix, hope this helps

99 sienna pwr door locks not locking

Well, I went to the dealer and was told that Integration relay does run both the remote locking, physical pressing the actual lock/unlock button on the armrest and dome light and door chime. I had NONE of these functioning, despite checking/replacing fuses, trying to reprogram the key, etc.
I do not have the picture of the relay with me right now.
Please explain the problem in little bit more detail and what did you already do try to fix it and I will see what I can do.
