This is tough to get to, the tensioner assembly is removed with a 10mm hex/alen wrench. You will not be able to see the bolt, it is recessed. When you install the new tensioner, there is an allignment pin that you must be careful to get in the hole in the engine block. The new tensioner will have a lock pin installed, leave it in until you get the belt on, then remove the pin.

Hi, I have a 1999 Audi A6 Avant. The steering wheel squeals when I turn left or right. I had the steering pump replaced. It stopped after replacing it and then started again shortly after. Took the car...

the pulley tentioner on the power steering belt, i ve done lots of them, they are self tentioning and over time can cause to much tention on the belt, if this the case when you have the steering at full lock it should squeal the loudest.

Serpentine belt on 96 saturn sc loose what could it be

Hello there:
Normally a serpentine belt will stay on tight untill it begins to strech out after it streches out to far the tention idler pulley cannot keep the belt tension tight any longer thus resulting in a belt either coming off or other things happening So what i would do is to first remove the serpentine belt and ensure that the tention idler pulley is working good make sure it does not just move freely than get a new belt and install now you should be ok
Hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Michael
