Can i use a different transmission from a different model to put in my 99 pathfinder

Left light
Pink/black tail light
green/yellow stop light
grey/bue turn
black ground
Right
pink/black tail
green/yellow stop
grey/red turn
black ground

The switch that controls the backup lamps on a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder looks completely different and is in a slightly different location depending on whether the vehicle is equipped with a manual or automatic transmission. However, in ether case, the switch is located on the transmission.

On the manual transmission it is called simply, "backup switch".
On the automatic transmission it is part of the "inhibitor switch". (also known as "neutral safety switch")

more info. is needed, CAR-PARTS.com, all the bone yards in the unitied states, just put the info. they ask for and review what years, make, models that fit your application.

There could be several concerns.
The fuel pump is weak and cutting out.
The ignition coils are getting hot and cutting off. The torque convetor in the transmission could be staying in lock up mode, This will cause the vehicle to die out , there is to much torque on the engine when at idle, causing the engine to die out.
The exhaust system could be clogged.
I would try and get the vehicle to a mechanic or dealer to check out .

There are no gauges for the transmission. You need special equipment to read the pressures & things.

The dipstick is located under the air cleaner on the right-hand side, identified by a yellow ring.

Hey I have a 1991 Nissan pathfinder 4*4 and I just had this transmission put in it runs good but I'm worried that it wasnt put in right and the reason is the power switch blink when you turn on the car what is wrong with it and even with the old one did that

that sounds like a bad universal joint on the transfer case to the front axle. have that checked out
