Question about 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Conv
On 90 olds cutlass, upon returning to car, it would just crank over as if no spark or fuel was getting to system. Next day, car battery totally dead. Jumped, tried again until jump battery was getting low. As I was contemplating what to do as I sat in the drivers seat, I heard a click of some relay (key was in off position). I then tried it again and it immediatly started. Tried to drive car home but it was still trying to stall as if someone just flipped the switch to the spark or fuel each time I accelerated for about 2-3 seconds each time. Made it across town to home (car tried to die about 10x's), but then next day, battery was completely discharged. Nothing left on, but curious as what relay I heard click is staying energized and stopping the car from running. Is this an EMU problem? The click sound came from the passenger side interior. Is there a relay that would shut down the car by staying energized and also draining the battery.
Take it to a garage and put it on the obdII reader.Save the guesswork.Had 1 just like that and the the code reader diagnosed 7 different things. But car should be running.I fixed mine by replacing almost all the sensors and the computer

As far as the battery's concerned , it was cranked until it was weak and you havent been able to run the car long enough to charge it back up. Take it out of the car and have it charged, you're going to need to be able to diagnose your car.
You should check the fuel pressure of the system,if you have low fuel pressure it could mean the fuel fiter is dirty or you have a leak in the system, the system is under pressure to be able to atomize the fuel at the Injector, and maintains this pressure even after turing off your motor. If you get NO pressure, first check the fuses and the relay( this relay is on the drivers side of the engine compartment.
Or, you're fuel pump is bad.
If the fuel pressure is good, Then you may want tocheck cables, spark plugs, or have the coils tested or the crank sensor tested.
But It sounds to me like a fuel problem.
