I also have a 2008 SuperDuty F350 with 6.4 Diesel. The truck will stutter when accelerating and blows blue smoke. Not all of the time, but at least thirty percent of the time. At first I thought it was a fuel issue, but after checking the oil prior to my scheduled oil changes and seeing that it was 2 and sometimes 3 quarts low, I began to suspect something else. I believe that I have injectors leaking oil through, thus making the blue smkoe and the power breakdown.

If it is just occasionally it is prob the dpf regeneration. When this happens it will feel like the truck is losing power. It will last about 10 minutes then should stop. Truck will do this every about every 300 miles to burn off particulate in exhaust system

Sounds like an egr valve problem, pull the egr valve out of the intake (2 8mm bolts and pry out with a "ladyslipper" style pry bar, it it is covered with thick soot then this is probably your problem, this problem will often not trigger a code

2005 Ford F250 6.0 turbo diesel blows black smoke out exhaust and has no power when I try to excellerate.

1. check charge air tube, loosing boost pressure=low power and black smoke
2. check for air filter restriction,if it cant breathe it will blow smoke and run like ****
3. check for rotational drag on the turbo compressor wheel, it may be locking up causing low power and black smoke, much like cummins vgt turbo
4.oil quality, poor oil quality, ie long intervals between oil changes.
5. may have a leaking injector, not common with this style of injector but i wouldnt rule it out if nothing else checks out.....hope this helps.

Passenger side rear brake gets extremely hot and on occasion will smoke from the heat

There is a pretty good chance that the brake caliper has a seized piston. The F250 SD trucks seem to have alot of rear caliper problems. Hope this helps.. Cobra

Why want 6.0 blow black smoke with banks 6 gun iq

Black smoke from a diesel is caused by overfueling, even with a banks the engine obviously is burning the fuel efficiently. Black smoke will not make your truck produce more power, i am not sure why you would want this to happen anyway.

2008 ford f250 6.4l diesel, heater works one time when i get in to drive, the next time it just blows cold air, its not overheating, not sure what is going, any ideas?

Feel the heater hoses when it blows cold air--they should be quite hot when the engine is up to temperature. If ok, then either the control center in the dash has a problem or an air-duct vacuum-controlled-valve has a problem with sticking in one position. The truck is too new to have bad vacuum lines, but one may have a kink that is causing a problem. Check around the engine and the dash control panel for a loose or split vacuum line.

Loss of power

I would start by checking for a fouled spark plug/wire. Also, check the fuel filter. It doesn't have to be good just because it is new. Could have a factory defect.
