Question about 2003 Ford F350 Super Duty DRW SuperCab

2003 F350 Diesel 4x4

I have a problem with my 4x4 light not going out after I put her back into 2 wheel drive. Sometimes it stays on for hours and other times if I jiggle the shifter I can get it to go out. Is there a switch or something that requires changing?

I have a 2003 Ford F350 super duty w/6.0 diesel, 4x4 SRW. Yesterday the headlights, dashlights, driving lights and tail lights all went out. Think it's a fuse issue but I have no fuse box diagram to tell...

check pages 177-181. There are 2 fuse panels in your truck, one is under the steering column, the other is under the hood. Use the pictures in this PDF to figure out which is which, and you should be able to find the correct fuse or fuses to replace. That many inop lights makes me think that if it isn't multiple fuses, it may be a lighting control module issue. My crown victoria had a bad LCM that caused a similar problem. Let me know what you find and i'll assist you further. Good luck

The truck says service 4x4. I press the 4x4 button and it won't change to 4x4. It stays in 2 wheel drive. Could it be a censor? The light sometimes doesn't show color in 2 wheel drive.

I have seen problems in both the dash switches and encoder motors on the side of the transfer case. You need to have the 4x4 module scanned for codes.

2000 F350 Super Duty Will not go into 4 wheel drive

I have recently had this problem with a customer. It seems the 4x4 low will only engage in neutral with the brake applied. And also check fuse. Then select drive and you will feel it lock in. Don't "goose" the fuel when attempting this.

If its cold it will not like to start try plugging it in a hour before you start it. If that dosen't work you could have bad glow plugs. Try turning the key to the on position wait for the glow plug light to go out and then go back to off and try again then start. If not any of that drain the watter from the bowl and put some injector cleaner in the tank and change the fuel filter. You might have air in the fuel system some how. Try bleeding the fuel system
