I had to replace the crank sensor on my 91 RS 2.2 liter. You have to get to it from underneath the car and reaching up from the rear of the engine. It is kind of hard to see because it is tucked down behind the transmission.

It depends on what engine you have. go to autozone.com and enter vehicle and engine information, then click on locations, follow steps and you should find it, if not try me again with your type engine and i'll look it up for you. good luck

Looking for the location of the crank position sensor

Side of the engine next to the firewall.
Middle ways of the block just below the coil packs.
There are wires that go from coil pack harness to the crank position sensor...hope this helps.

Find location of crank shaft sensor on 1990cavalier and is there a way to test the sensor to see if it working car was running fine then died got it towed home and no spark crank shaft sensor is going to...

With out a scope be kinda hard, you could try using an ohm meter, sensor sit on side if block, held on by a 8 or 10 mm bolt, probe both pins at sensor and have some one turn engine with breaker bar sensor should open and close if good, if it don't do any thing replace, also unhook coil just in case it fire's up.

I think that in your car too, the crank position sensor starts the ignition sequence. I'd check there first.

It is one of 2 things fuel pump or Crank Shaft Position Sensor. Best bet would be the Crank Shaft Sensor, and what that does is tell the computer where the crank is and when to fire the right plug at the right time
