No air pressure at rail - possible fuel pump, or, just needs pressure added at rail valve

You need to check the fuel press, the test port in on the rail, also run a code test on the ECM/PCM, this checks for trouble codes and also lets you know the computer is working if it tests ok.

Need to take rear driveline out of 1998 chevy blazer

By removing the drive line you may move the car but it will lock up on you at some point,, the rear end, wheel bearing or broken axel will cause more damage, just tear into it and fix the problem before it causes you more trouble.....Hope that helps...

Chevy blazer 1998 4-wheel drive - losing power when it's hot (after about 100 miles) once it cools, everything is fine

First thing to check is the fuel pressure and volume. Sounds like a fuel pump (in the tank) problem, but also be sure to check the filter as they can clog on this model. Testing the pressure with a gauge is the only accurate way to know if I am right. Clogged filter will give normal pressure but it will come up slowly. You can probably rent or borrow a pressure gauge from a local auto parts store if you do not have one. There is a fitting on the fuel rail, so you do not have to open up the fuel line to test the pressure.
