Acceleration hesitation I have an 87 Honda Accord Lxi with fuel injection & auto trans. The problem is only after it has warmed up it will hesitate & sputter when accelerating from a stopped position otherwise it idles fine and runs good once it gets going.

This sounds like a shorted spark plug wire or a bad spark plug.

My 91 honda accord drives fine, but after driving for a while it starts to hesitate and only drives when i accelerate and decelerate what's the problem?

If the car starts to hesitate at right around 2000 to 2300 RPMs then the EGR ports on the intake manifold need to be cleaned out. The exhaust gas is flooding only one cylinder and causing the hesitation(misfire of that flooded cylinder) since all the other ports are blocked off with carbon build-up. This happen right when the EGR valve opens, letting in the exhaust gas. To find out if this is indeed your problem, remove and plug up the rubber vacuum hose going into the EGR valve and drive the car. If it stops hesitating, that's the problem.

Hesitation in acceleration

Could be low fuel pressure, a vac leak, or other problems.

sounds like a vacuum leak, injectors clogged, bad plugs, plug wires or maybe low tranny fluid or combo one all, have it dynoed to save yourself some money of course.

1985 fleetwood 4.1L rwd fuel injection the car hesitates severely when I first accelerate and almost seems to back-fire but gets better after warming up, but still not perfect. if I jump into nuetral...

Load issues can be anywhere along the drive train. Put the car into gear with your foot on the brake and BRIEFLY press on the accelerator - if the engine misses/hesitates, the problem is with usually with the engine. If not, it's probably in the transmission, u-joints on the drive shaft or the rear differential. If it's the engine, you will need to do all the usual checks (throttle body, EGR, fuel pressure, etc.).

Honda accord exr 1987 automatic trans.

It's hard to understand when you say it feels like a manual shift. Noise? Feel? I do know that the 87 auto trans does have a weak 1st to 2nd shift drum (as explained to me by my mechanic) that makes a grinding, elongated shift under heavy acceleration when it starts to wear. Under normal acceleration, 1st to 2nd shifts were normal (crisp, immediate). Since that day 8 years ago, I've avoided starting off to quickly, and so far have saved myself a tranny overhaul.
