4x4 5 speed. What other transmission will fit?

swaps are the most complex topic on cars, near infinite possibles.
my guess is OE fit. (stock for stock)
all transmission match engine power rating
and some have same box but run special clutch (bigger)

you never said what engine, so cant really answer... right.
after all the bell housing flange shapes dictate fit. there.
and what clutch works there....
1996 had what.
Gen 2 troopers had. 5 engines.

3.2 L 6VD1 SOHC V6
3.2 L 6VD1 DOHC V6
3.5 L 6VE1 DOHC V6
3.0 L 4JX1 TD I4
3.1 L 4JG2 TD I4

my wild guess 2, is he 6vx1 something,.
the V6 engine.
id say all v6 transmission fit, off hand.
is this the v6 turbo engine option?

to get a more prefect answer, try the only people that do that

the hollander data base. (wreckers all use this (savvy ones)

i think the stock trans is, MSG-5F (up to 1995 and 2.6L max)
so get one of those an be sure it fits your transfer case?
fits all trooper ,amigo and rodeos/

or read real forums asking this question?

best yet, see all those transmission m/t here

so is a MUA-5C box starting in 1996
this fits the bigger V6, (unstated by you)

Honda pass port, same engine, same box.?

the newer trans has and electric shifted 4wd section.

so if not hollanders DB
try google , if MUA-5C
see that results, if you do that , all cars it fits may show up there for free
best is to first learn whats there.
and post.

Hello, I have a 95 Tacoma 4x4, 2.7, 67k miles. I'm having problems with no heat and want to replace the thermostat. I've searched the internet wanting to be sure of where it's...

It probably is at that bottom hose connection. I just replaced a water pump and t-stat on a 2004 Mazda van with a ford v-6 engine (3.0L), and the thermostat housing and thermostat was on the bottom hose from the radiator. This one had no radiator cap, just the recovery tank with a pressurized cap fitting. I think they call it a degas bottle system-something like that, might be relevant or not. But anyway, if you have the housing on the lower hose, don't be surprised if that is where the thermostat goes, some coolant systems are like that.

Is there a supercharge for 1989 mazda 323 & how do i fit it

I've never seen a supercharger add-on for the 323. There was a 323GTX model for that year that came stock with a turbo and intercooler. If anyone would know about spuerchargers for that year it would be HKS.

What engines can replace the rotery engine in my 1987 mazda rx7? Looking for something with cyliders over a rotery engine, also with more power. Any sugustions?

Well the most common swaps are putting in Small block ford's and Chevy's. The one I see mostly is the 5.0 Mustang motor swap. There are numerous kits for motor mounts and relocation brackets that make it a fairly straight forward swap. Do a little research and you will start seeing quite a few results that will answer your questions on How to's and so forth.

I have a 1996 dodge dakota with a 3.9L engine, can I swap the engine with a 318V8 ?

Mechanically it can be done, but I'm not sure about the computer, wiring harness, and plumbing that would have to go with it.

Will a 1996 protege engine fit in a 2001 protege

It all depends, you need to make sure everything is similar, engine mounts supports, piple flows, coolant flows, space between engine and radiator and many others. So I would suggest careful thinking before you proceed.Hope this helps.

I have a blown head gasket and I would like to do

If you use the exact same engine as came in the car you will have no issues with the swap. This car came with the 3.1 Liter V6 so that is what I would purchase. Any used engine is always a gamble unless you know exactly the mileage on that engine or you receive a warranty from the salvage yard. Do not buy a used engine without a warranty.

There is any way that the Spark Plug from a 1996

For testing only it should work, but to get all the performance your 2005 engine offers, use Autolite HT0 sparkplugs
Be very careful removing the stock plug. Other are reporting that they break off easily and the heads might have to come off to get the broken pieces out. $$$$$$$$$

Be careful !!!

Good Luck

Swap Engine

Well first off if your only wanting a V6 an SRT4's engine is out of the question because it is an inline-4. If you still wanted to install it in your car it would be a good choice considering the power it makes stock as well as the power potential it has. If you use nitrous oxide on any STOCK motor you should be very conservative about it because you can easily blow the motor, I would say max for STOCK engine would be about a 100 shot and I would also recommend using only a 'wet kit' because it adds fuel and nitrous at the same time so less chance of your car leaning out.
