Will a battery explode of it's making a hissing sound

It should not actually explode because all batteries have safety valves and vents for excess gas pressure while charging. The hissing is possibly hydrogen gas escaping, so do not take a ***** flame near it.

However the hissing is a sign that the battery may be getting overcharged by a faulty voltage regulator in the vehicle, or it may have developed a high internal resistance in one cell, causing it to boil under charge. Take the vehicle along to a bettery specialist or auto electrician and ask for those things to be checked.

Car stalls when put in gear

The first thing I would do is check for vacume leaks if the leak is bad enough u will be able to hear a hissing sound. start checking and wiggeling each line u can find especialy around intake manifold and brake master cyl. for the hissing sound to change if u have a gauge and manual u can check vacume a test port to see if it is within limits.

suggest with engine running, listen for hissing sound around your motor. look for unplugged round black lines on the motor. if you can't find it like that suggest you search for honest shop or someone you can trust. not a huge price to only connect a vacum line. hope this helps!!!

It make a hissing sound and then it shuts off

open the hood up and look for a missing vacuum port plug on the engine intake manifold, sounds like the case here, that would cause a really loud hissing noise.

I CAN HEAR A HISSING SOUND BY THE FUEL CAP AFTER I TURN OFF MY TRUCK

If you hear a hissing sound from the gas cap then the o ring that seals the tank is either cracked or tore. the tank has to build up pressure. thats where u r hearing the hissing sound replace it, it should stop after.

Heater switch only has hi speed

This was wrong with my 01 Stratus and it was the blower motor. Between the part and the labor to have it fixed, it was around $130.
