Question about Isuzu Hombre
You will have 8 to 16 bolts on the transmission pan, you have to drop the transmission pan and the filter will be hte first thing you see, it should just pull out of the tube so you can pop the new one in.
some are held in with a 10MM screw.

If the fluid was brown or gray when you changed it, I am afraid you are a little too late and have already sustained internal trans damage.

Nope. There is a drain plug on the transmission case. It is a simple drain and fill. Odyssey transmissions do not have a filter.

The forward clutches are going bad is the most likely problem. To repair the trans should be rebuilt.

Testimonial: "That's what I was afraid of, a total rebuild. "
changing the fluid and filter would not hurt at all in fact adding a bottle of lucas som times gets people another 10,000 ive seen it happen give it a shot you have nothing to loose but the 30 dollars on parts and labor assuming you would be doing the work

It probably did not slip before the fluid was changed I so the clutches are worn out and need to be replaced The worn fibers were still in the old fluid causing the fluid to be thicker filling the voids much better to shift. Now once drained and new fluid installed it slips
