Crankshaft sensor I have a 2005 neon car and I would like to know where is this sensor location on the car to replace.

It is in the front of the engine slightly to the driver side of center. it has one bolt on the right side from front that takes 11/32 socket.

I could be wrong but look for a cam sensor shaped thing at the back of the cylinder head (left side relative to car)

Hi Ricky,
It could be located inside the distributor, or mounted on bracket in the engine compartment or in the power train computer. What are your car symptoms? if it turns on, but as you're driving it turns off and it happens frequently; it could be the crankshaft position sensor. This was only suggestion that you might want to check out. I only paid $12.00 at auto zone for my crankshaft position sensor. Good luck and take care. :-)

How to replace crank sensor


My crankshaft position sensor is located underneath my car, towards the middle of the two front seats. That's if you are talking about the same sensor. Good luck and take care. :-)

Crankshaft sensors are normally mounted on the block at the front crankshaft pully.

Location of crankshaft position sensor


I have a 2005 neon and i found mu crank sensor on the radiator side of the block driver side of center directly below the starter. I hope this helps..
