2001 montero sport xls sport horn on my alarm how do i stop it i pulled the fuse but it is still goint

You need to determine if it's the horn or the alarm. My Montero (not Sport) had 3 horns. All 3 of which go off w/ the Alarm, but only one is connected to the horn on the steering wheel. I could not make mine go off w/o pulling the relay under the hood.

My spring was bad in the steering wheel. I was able to bypass the wire using instructions that I actually found on a Mitsubishi Forum. Link below:

How many drive belts are there on a 2002 mitsubishi montero sport 3.0

Your capable of opening the hood to
look aren't you? Or going to an auto
parts store for help & buy all of them

If you don't know how many you have,
I would assume you never inspected them to
see their condition

What's next?

How do I install them!!

Where is the starter located in a montero sport v6 1998

if its the same as my 97 its under the center of the engine...you have to drop the sump guard and its just by the brake lines that run down the center of the truck...its a pain but not too bad

Find starter on 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

I have a 98 Montero Sport and the starter is located on the bottom left side of the engine. Its a very tight spot but I unscrewed a bracket in which 2 transmission lines were running under the starter and it gave me more room to play with. Ensure to disconnect battery before you begin
