Hi was astonished to see how many results you have helped with, was hoping you could help me. Car starts and runs fine. Automatic transmission on car. Rough at first trying to shift into drive etc. Now won't go into reverse, and this morning started fine, but after shifting into any gear, won't move at all. Was wondering if it is neutral safety switch? Replace tranny? Would sure appreciate some sort of help. Even a diagram. Thanks so much for your time and wisdom!

Make sure there are no leaks and that the system is full to capacity. After the vehicle has warmed up check radiator hoses for temperature differecial also check heater core hoses. A significant difference in temperature may indicate a plugged heater core or thermostat failure
Security is your problem (like for MANY others... me included). There is a detailed write-up here: http://vatspasskey.com . The guy is great, this was the only way I was able to save my 94 Park Avenue.
Depends on what engine is in each of the vehicles. Assuming that the 1992 Park Avenue and 1995 Buick Century both had similiar engines (both being a V6), then they would both be equiped with the 4T60E transmission and you should have no problems interchanging them. Any differences (if any) in the wiring or valvebodies can easily be changed from one to the other and will be fairly self-explanatory.
Don't know if your car has a security system, but it may be your key. There is a very tiny electronic piece on the key of my Buick Park Avenue 1995. If damaged, it may activate/desactivate the security system randomly.
Hope this helped you.
With your transmission warm and your car running. Check your fluid level. With that amount of Km, it most likely needs serviced and the bands tighten. There are some additives on the market that will give you a little longer life. You may want to try some of them.
