Have u had the alternator checked out? Most parts stores offer a free check of your charging system. If u can't drive it to them, u can remove the alternator and they can test it out of the truck. If this doesn't help, let me know so we can go further.

2002 ford escape stalled out. Now wont start or crank or the gear shift wont move

Hi Chuck, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Chuck, without me being there to see whats going on, here's my best guess. It sounds like the battery went dead. See if you have 12 volts at the battery. If you don't then take the battery to AutoZone have them charge and load-test it to see if its bad. If the battery turns out to be OK then you'll need to check the charging system. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website at: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

Stop by any good parts store (Autozone, Advance, etc...) and have them do a FREE charging system test and LOAD test your battery. You'll find the culprit.

Im having trouble with my 84 ford econoline 6cylinders voltage regulator diagram please help is living my batterries smelling realy bad i check the alternator and is good

It souds like your system is overcharging..... check to make sure the charging system is charging between 13.5volts and 15.3volts at 3000rpms if more than that the voltage regulator is defective and needs replacement,if this situation occurred and the van was used for an extended period then you may have cooked the battery too... It will not be long that it may go bad.

I have an 84 ford ltd crown victoria, charging ssytem wont charge my battery 4 some reason. ive already replaced the alternator twice, voltage regulator and the battery. cleaned the grounds, made sure all...

Dead cell in Battery? Take positive cable off battery while running and then it should stay running that mean the alternator is working. So you want to check battery out for dead cell in battery if that is the case it will not take a charge.

Charging system

If you have changed the alternator and regulator, about all that could be left would either be a short circuit that is draining current away, or a bad ignition warning light bulb. That is because the power to energize the field of the alternator, comes through this dash bulb.

84 ford F350 6.9 diesel charging system not charging batterys new alt,New voltage regulator, new positive and negative wires,

look for a fusible link out. You need to check for output on the alternator that you installed. make sure the batteries are fully charged before that, otherwise its not going to read right. start from the source. also, you can disconnect the batteries from the sys and do a continuity check on the wires in the loom, so you can see if current has a path, or if you have an open circuit. hope this helps

I have a 84 mustang xl. I think that the problem is electrical but im not sure. The battery has a charge, but it wont turn over, and i dont even have lights, my car wont start what could the problem be?

Could be a broken or disconnected battery cable. If you are sure that the battery has a full charge, and the battery is connected properly (tight clean connection at the terminals) and the lights do not go on (including the brake lights when you step on the brakes) then there is a bad connection at the battery/terminal/cable for certain.
