Question about 2002 Mercury Villager
Ok here is my problem, i have an 02mercury villager, now here's the story, i had been driving the car up till 2 weeks ago, no problem at all, i turned the car off with no problems, then when i tried to start it the next day all i got was a very quiete click, and only one click per time i try to turn it over, and the lights inside kinda shutter a bit, over a period of time the lights will dim like they arnt getting much power, but when i try to jump the car it will does not seem to receive any power than it already had, lights still dim, and ive tried to jump it with other cars, same result, so im thinking either its the wires that connect to the battery ( which are SO terribly erroded ) or maybe the the starter or alternator. also now today, my dad tried to start the car, and alovasonden it WORKED, wierd huh, it seemed to have fixed itself, i drove it to get the car washed and guess what happened, yep, it stopped working again. so if someone could help me out i would much appreciate it. (this is my first time using this service so i this works out i would pay money for this in the future, and if someone gives me the answer that works, i will pay 5$ via paypal to you)
First to remove the corrosion from the batteru terminals, pour a coka cola on it- it has to be coke- the acid in the coke should take care of that problem. Next you may need to replace the alternator. Hope this helps you :)
