Question about 2005 Chrysler Town & Country

Power Locks both front power locks are inoperative. Neither the door switch nor the keyless remote work. All other door functions, (windows, mirrors, rear vents, etc.) work, as does the other functions on the remote. power door locks do not operate. they have to be manually locked, i have had this problem before. pulled the fuse and put it back and the locks worked for a short time. this has happend twice, it seems to be happening more frequently. i believe there is something else causing the problem.

I too have the same problem. All other auto functions in the van work fine except the auto locks both in the vehicle and via remote entry. Dealer has twice reprogrammed it and again I am back to square one. Fuse is fine?????

I have the exact same problem now with my Wife's van. I pull the IOD fuse under the hood and after about a min or so, reinstall it. That takes care of the problem for a while. I think there is a TSB out there on this. not sure of the number but they are saying the dealer has to reporgramm the bcm and that should take care of the problem. I read somewhere else this problem was occuring when the the weather was dry out and there has been static electricity in the air.

A motor in one of the doors was going bad and had not completely quit. The dealer replaced the motor in the sliding door behind the driver's side and now the locks work fine after several trips to the dealer and several "reprogramming" issues. The service person also told me that this was not new. Occassionally before a motor goes completely out it can make the whole locking system fail. I am one week without the problem now!

You need to locate the relays for those items... generally on the fuse panel.... replace the relays that control the problem you have.
