Question about 1994 Suzuki Sidekick
I went to have my car smogged and while it passed comphrensive visual inspection and the emissions test. it failed the function check because the check engine light is on. the check engine light has been on since i got the car and have tried twice to have diagnostic's done on it and it didn't work. any advice would be greately appreciated.
I had the same problem on my 1994 Sidekick. The computer is programed to turn the light at a certain mileage. My came on at 100,000 miles. No codes were ever found in the computer. I researched it and found out about a reset switch that was located on the front left speaker. Hope this helps.

I had a similar experience with a different car and it was something (can't remember) that was unplugged under the car that sent info from the rear wheels to the computer.
