Question about 1985 Chevrolet Corvette
1985 corvette can start it then it runs rough tried to die out. if you give throttle it keeps it from diein right away for bout 20 or 30 seconds then it dies. I try to start it again and it takes a second for it to start if it does. then dies. Then i cnt get it to start after that
I have a 85 coupe, the pumps are notorous for going out.Best bet is empty the whole tank.the pump .Is easy to pull its under the filler door.1 make sure its not your security system shutting off
your injectors .2 turn key in on poss and open gas door you should hear the motor. If not
disconnect batt and remove.be car e you dont lose the screen.once out dry off and hook up to any batt to check.there only 30 bucks but make sure you ground it out right and dont turn it on in a dry tank ,you will burn it out.

Your car is tuned port fuel inj. so your problem probably lies in the throttle body, or the oxygen sensor in the exhaust that tells the intake to allow or disallow the passing of air depending on how rich or lean your car is running. Hence the reason fuel injected cars wont start if you put the pedal to the floor. If the O2 sensor is bad; your check engine light will show.

If you changed your fuel and that did not fixit its definitely the maf sensor.
