Honda Accord 1988 LXi Overheating Issue

Recently the temperature gauge in my dash on my 1988 Honda Accord LXi has been slowly going up to about 7/8 of the way up. The odd thing is it only happens at idle or below 35mph. The second I go over 35mph the temp will drop back to a normal level. It will literally drop not just slowly go down. There is plenty of coolant in the system. I am thinking it is just the thermostadt, but I am not sure. I do not want to just start sticking money into it especially if it is someting major. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

There are two temp sensors on the engine to the left of the distrubutor. both on the goose neck. I have found that often a false hot occurs when one of these goes bad.

1994 Honda Accord Overheating unless Heater is On.

Make sure your fan is working properly. When you turn on the heater you are forcing the fan to cool the radiator. It may not be turning on automatically when it is supposed to. Let us know if this helps..
